1. Who we are
AR Lyne Motors Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16385418) with registered office at 38 Fullarton Crescent, South Ockendon, RM15 5HW. We operate vehicle repair and maintenance workshops, including MOT testing, in Grays and Basildon, Essex.

2. What personal data we collect
- Business contact details: name, job title, business email address, business telephone number, company name and business address.
- Customer details (if you become a customer): contact details, vehicle registration numbers, service and repair history, invoices and payments.
- Enquiry details: any information you provide when contacting us.
3. Where we get your personal data
- Directly from you (enquiries, bookings, emails, phone calls).
- From publicly available business sources (company websites, business directories, Companies House) when we contact businesses about our fleet repair and maintenance services.
4. How we use your data and our lawful bases
- Legitimate interests – contacting businesses that operate vehicle fleets to offer our repair and maintenance services. Our legitimate interests are: developing our business by offering relevant services to companies likely to need them, and communicating with business contacts in a professional context. We only contact limited companies and LLPs at their business addresses, we always identify ourselves, and every message includes a simple, free opt-out.
- Contract – providing the workshop services you request or book.
- Legal obligation – keeping invoices and tax records as required by law.
5. Your right to object to direct marketing
You have the absolute right to object to direct marketing at any time. To opt out, simply reply "no thanks" to any of our emails or write to adrian@arlynemotorsltd.co.uk or roselyne@arlynemotorsltd.co.uk. We will stop marketing to you promptly and keep your details on a do-not-contact list so we do not contact you again.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary: with our IT and email providers (e.g. Microsoft), and where required by law.
7. How long we keep your data
- Business marketing contacts: until you object. Objections are kept on a suppression list indefinitely to ensure we do not contact you again.
- Customer and invoice records: 6 years, as required by tax law.
8. Your rights
